American Math Credit is partnered with the University of Illinois through the Netmath program which offers innovative online courses which utilize an online version of Mathematica called CAS-ILE. Which was produced and developed by Scott Mills Gray, the founder and instructor at American Math Credit.
BOTH ONLINE and IN-PERSON
American Math Credit courses are taught both online and in person. Students will meet with Scott twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday at our office at Sukhumvit Suites on Sukhumvit Soi 13, for two hours for help and special lectures and to take exams. The rest of the time they will work on their coursework online and hand-in homework using the CAS-ILE system.
CAS-ILE
Our courses require an account in the CAS-ILE™ system (previously called Mathable). There is no separate textbook required. Students must have a laptop computer with Chrome or Firefox web broswer.
The CAS-ILE™ system fully integrates three things:

Courseware designed to help students learn by dynamic exploration and visualization,

A web-based interface to the computer algebra system Mathematica for students to perform calculations and write full explanations of their solution process,

A Learning Management System to streamline administration of the course and promote communication between students, instructors, and mentors.
Note: You will receive information about how to sign up for a CAS-ILE account in after you enroll in the course. We recommend not creating a CAS-ILE account until you receive this information.
Because CAS-ILE™ is a web based service, students will need to be able to work with a consistent internet connection. In addition, CAS-ILE is currently best supported on either Chrome or Firefox web browsers, so students must download and install the latest version of Chrome or Firefox.
